In the bible story, Judith was a hero who took advantage her beauty to lure the enemy leader, therefore killed the enemy and saved the whole city people. In Klimt's painting, she was portrayed as a morden woman. With modern hairstyle and clothing, Judith exposed her body, seemed to lure anyone looked at her. The head of the enemy were carried in her hands under the right corner of the paintings, occupying only small position. Correspondingly, the Judith's head is prominent in the artwork.
